From bento box to banquet, Azuma has offered the CBD suit brigade a wide choice for all of 10 gratifying years. Sit up at the tiny sushi bar, make eye contact with the sushi masters and be rewarded with delicate nigiri and sashimi at your command. Or turn right to the elegantly simple dining room with its wooden tables graced with Mitsuo Shoji's handmade ceramics. At lunch, the choice is yours: a good value omakase option or a set menu featuring generously filled bento boxes - a wagyu beef set or an a la carte selection showcasing tempura shellfish and grilled fish of the day. Nigiri sushi of snapper and cuttlefish thrills, and fingers of wagyu are superb, although a daily special of salmon was dry and tuna sashimi underwhelming. Desserts are hardly the point here, but the creme brulee is no slouch. Service is deferential and efficient, but at its best at the up-close-and-personal sushi bar.
