Bankstown Hotel

13.5/20

Pub dining$$

It takes longer to read the extensive menu than it does for the meals to come out in the roomy lounge of this friendly, relaxed suburban local where the whole family will eat well and feel comfortable in the big couches. This is a meat-lovers comfort-food heaven where the ribs are huge, the 300-gram scotch fillet nicely cooked, the lemon and thyme-roasted chicken breast a success. The T-bone is juicy and tasty, with an interesting hash of roasted eggplant and capsicum. Other choices range from mezze plates and pizzas to substantial salads. The staff are friendly and efficient. Arrive hungry.
