Buckland Hotel

Good Food hat15.5/20

These days Thai food is as Aussie as pie and sauce, and though it's not quite a pub staple, it works when it's done well. The Buckland is full of punters slurping curries, munching noodles and chomping crisp curry puffs. Lamb shanks massaman-style arrives tender and submerged in a thick, fragrant curry. Crispy pork (caramelised or Buckland style) is also on the 'must-eat' list. If meat and three veg is more your thing there's also a bistro menu with the usual suspects. Either way it's a nice pub to eat at; minimalistic but bright, inviting but not in your face.
