Typical of nebbiolo, this has a medium brick-red colour and matured, savoury aromas with earth, dried-herb, leather and root vegetable notes. Cigar box and roasting-pan aromas come from age development. A core of fruit sweetness, mellow and charming, is surrounded by a swirl of tannin, which demands food. Preferably protein.
