Chardonnay is not a noted strength of the Eden Valley, but this one is very good and terrific value for money. The colour is medium-light yellow, the bouquet full of butter, peach and honey, lightly tealeafy, quite complex and highly alluring. The same flavours come through in the mouth, where it has good intensity and softness, balance and length. Oak is unassertive and it's full of charm. Now to five years. 13 per cent alcohol.
