Reasons to visit

The seaside town of Anglesea is situated on the Great Ocean Road at the mouth of the Anglesea River. Both the river and the surf beaches are popular swimming areas and scenic lookouts can be found above the town's main surf beach.

There are pretty parks and gardens along the coast near Anglesea too and you can walk the boardwalks and bridges at Coogoorah Park and explore the islands in the wetlands. Head north-east to Point Addis and watch hang gliders take off from the rugged sandstone cliffs.

Tour the Great Ocean Road and see incomparable coastal scenery, Bells Beach, the Split Point Lighthouse, Memorial Arch, The Twelve Apostles, rainforest and bucolic dairy farms. Foodies should head straight for the Otway Harvest Trail and/or the 12 Apostles Gourmet Trail.

Explore the rugged coast and hinterland of the Great Otway National Park and discover fern gullies, waterfalls, cliff-lined coast, coves and sandy beaches.

"We're currently upgrading the store and we're adding a new island cheese case for cut and wrapped cheese and deli specialty lines and growing our fresh fruit and veg, meats and bakery lines.

We're also expanding our gourmet range. Local producers we stock include Wensleydale garlic, tomatoes and salad mix from Lonsdale Tomato Farm and ham and pork from Otway Ham, Barwon Valley Smallgoods and other local smallgoods providers. We also stock Anglesea Honey as well as vinaigrettes and seasonings from Screaming Seeds Spice Co.

We carry local wines from Brown Magpie, Longboard and Scotchmans Hill as well as craft beers from Forest Brewing Company and Little Creatures."
