Voting is open for The Age Good Food Guide 2017 People's Choice Award

Which is Victoria's best-loved restaurant? The nationwide Good Food Guide People's Choice Award is back, giving Good Food readers a chance to vote for their favourite restaurant.

The Victorian winner will be published in the state's dining bible, The Age Good Food Guide.

The best bit? By submitting your vote, you have the chance to win two tickets to food world's night of nights, The Age Good Food Guide Awards, on September 12, plus a meal at your favourite restaurant to the value of $500.

Last year, a staggering 16,886 people jumped online to vote for the inaugural People's Choice Award.

Red Spice Road picked up the gong, possibly on the strength of its signature chilli caramel-glazed pork belly, the restaurant's star attraction since it opened in McKillop Street, Melbourne, in September 2007.

The Age Good Food Guide People's Choice Award is part of a national campaign inviting diners to name their favourite metro or regional restaurant, cafe, bar and cheap eat restaurant.

On July 18, Bundaberg's Indulge Cafe won the Brisbane Times Good Food Guide People's Choice Award for the second successive year, and voting is open for The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide People's Choice Award, which will be announced on September 5.

The Age Good Food Guide 2017 award night, presented by Citi and Vittoria, is on September 12. The Guide will be on sale in newsagents and bookstores from September 13, with all book purchases receiving free access to the new Good Food app.
