The expression "under one roof" doesn't do justice to the warehouse at 25 Easey Street. The newest arrival is Paradise Alley, a bar heavy on natural wines, with local craft beers on tap ($3 and $6 respectively between 4pm-6pm) run by hospitality pro Laura Twomey (ex City Wine Shop and French Saloon).

Beer snacks come courtesy of Little Latin Lucy, a South American street food concept by Renee Trudeau (ex Huxtable and Clever Polly's). Lamb ribs are barbecued in the alley and slathered in chocolate and chipotle mole, while empanadas are filled with ingredients like 'nduja and potato.

With room for 150 people, imbibing is encouraged in the art-covered alley shared with Backwoods Gallery, pool table room, a lounge furnished with eBay wins and the main bar. Talented friends built the bar, including the suspended bottle rack and marquise-shaped windows with views of the neighbouring motorbike workshop. Stay tuned for a weekly meat raffle.

But wait, there's more. Six weeks ago, general engineer Peter Casati – please, call him Gonz – opened Casati's Deli in the same warehouse. Here you can order toasties for $8.50 and picnic-style deli platters with bread from Dench, cured meat and pates from City Larder and cheese from That's Amore.

Once he gets his liquor licence, Casati will brew beer in the under-construction microbrewery attached to the cafe and visible from Paradise Alley.
