The final piece of the food puzzle at Barangaroo's Wulugul Walk dining promenade can be revealed. Rozelle's cute, green-leaning restaurant love.fish has lodged a DA to squeeze into the waterfront strip, with an interior fashioned by Ester and 121BC architect Anthony Gill.

love.fish co-owner Michelle Grand-Milkovic says the 160-seater – which includes "a giant curved light box" – will trail its neighbours' launches and swing open its doors in November.

"We are between Lotus and Muum Maam. It'll follow the sustainable seafood model of the Rozelle original, this time we'll also have a raw bar," she says.

"Obviously the Bentley restaurant owners will have a strong seafood focus at their restaurant down there, but what they do is different to us," Grand-Milkovic explains.

"A lot of the focus we have in terms of biodegradables is already in place at Barangaroo. Its difficult to get someone to pick up your compost somewhere as small as our Rozelle restaurant," she adds.
