Acclaimed chef Christine Manfield will be coming to Canberra in December to spend two nights whipping up desserts at Eightysix in Braddon.

Manfield will be in the kitchen at Eightysix on Tuesday, December 2, and Wednesday, December 3.

Owner Gus Armstrong said the much-respected chef and author would be serving up four desserts of her choosing, "whatever she wants".

Diners have already booked out seats at the pass, which offers prime position to watch Manfield at work.

Manfield was nicknamed Sydney's "spice queen" and ran highly regarded restaurants in London and Sydney, earning two chefs hats from the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide for Paramount in Potts Point and Universal in Darlinghurst, which closed in 2013.

She now writes, runs culinary tours and has a new cookbook out, Dessert Divas, which features recipes for some of her showstopping desserts at Universal.
