A well-known face will be whipping up some sophisticated sweet treats in the Aria kitchen this week.

Christine Manfield's tenure at the Brisbane riverside restaurant is only temporary, with the dessert doyen acting as chef in residence for lunch and dinner services on Friday, November 28 and Saturday, November 29.

"I am excited to be coming to dip my toes into Brisbane's dynamic restaurant scene to collaborate with the team at Aria to showcase a few of my seductive desserts on their menu," Manfield says.

Those "seductive" desserts are taken from her new cookbook Dessert Divas, and will include 'Gaytime Goes Nuts' (caramel ice-cream, honeycomb nougat crunch, salted hazelnut caramel and hazelnut chocolate mousse) and 'Lady Marmalade' (chocolate jaffa mousse, chocolate marmalade, chocolate cake, dates and orange).
