There's a new chef at city restaurant, European. Tim Martin is now running the show after the departure of Trent Kerr who, after six years, has moved to new cafe, Back Pocket in Little Lonsdale Street. Martin has worked at Taxi in Federation Square and Berardo's in Noosa.

Executive chef Ian Curley continues to oversee the operation that also includes, Supper Club, Siglo, City Wine Shop and Spring Street Grocer.

Damian Snell (ex-Dandelion and Claremont Tonic), is now head chef for Orient East at Seasons Botanic Gardens Hotel in St Kilda Road, cooking a menu of colonial-inspired dishes of the Malay Peninsula.
