Good Food Month is now done and dusted (and what a feast was had!) but the good food continues with the James Street Food and Wine Trail kicking off today.
Events in the Valley precinct include The Urban Picnic, which will see the heart of James Street transformed into a grassy oasis with food options including a "mini-bar" from Jocelyn's Provisions, North African roast lamb from Gerard's Bistro and wine from Craggy Range.
There are also cooking classes at James Street Cooking School, coffee-by-day-espresso-martini-by-night bar in Harvey's gardens, a three-course duck feast at Chow House and a banquet at Gerard's Bistro as well as a fried chicken pop-up in James Laneway.
The organisers, The James Street Initiative, say they attracted more than 5000 people to the event last year.
