They've been growing grapes in the region since 2006, and now GunDog Estate has opened a cellar door in Gundaroo.

The boutique winery also has vineyards and a cellar door in the Hunter Valley, where winemaker Matt Burton is based. All of the grapes for the GunDog Estate rose and almost all of their red grapes are grown in the Canberra region.

The cellar door is in the old stables behind Gundaroo's historic Royal Hotel, where Grazing is, which previously housed the cellar door for Capital Wines.

As well as a full range of tastings, the cellar door has wine available by the glass plus cheese and meat platters and coffee.

The cellar door is open 10am-5pm Thursday to Sunday.
