Hugos Brisbane on the cards for 2013

Natascha Mirosch

The rumour mill has been grinding away since late last year but yes, it's true, Sydney's Hugos Group, (owners of Hugos Manly, and a whole raft of other Hugos venues) are looking to open in Brisbane.

But don't bother trying to reserve a table just yet; owner Dave Evans (brother to TV chef Pete Evans) says they won't be opening until August or September next year.

He's remaining mum on the location but the word around town is that they will be going into the old Rugby Club site. The $13 million Rugby Club closed after less than two years in July last year.
