A pair of switched-on country boys have braved Fitzroy's cafe ground zero with newcomer Addict Food and Coffee. Shepparton duo Greg Brassil and Joe Ventura both have backgrounds in bars, cafes and coffee roasting back home and hit the ground running in early June with their first solo foray.
Great pastries and excellent Wide Open Road and Padre coffee feature alongside ex-St Ali chef Mark Boyd's hit-laden menu, where potato hash with mushroom duxelles, caramelised onion and poached egg is already proving a winner.
Open Monday to Friday 7am-4pm; Saturday and Sunday 8am-4pm.
