Raph Rashid (Beatbox Burgers, Taco Truck) is easing into his first venture-without-wheels, All Day Donuts, with reduced opening hours.

Until the yet-to-be-scheduled formal launch, Rashid will be selling takeaway doughnuts and batch-brew filter coffee Friday to Sunday 8am-3pm, or until sold out. You can also get an All Day Donut fix at Brother Baba Budan (CBD) and Seven Seeds (Carlton) from Tuesday to Saturday.

Rashid's surprisingly light, fluffy doughnuts include a zingy lime custard with a sugary, blow-torched top and a rose creme (think Turkish delight custard) with chocolate icing and house-made raspberry sprinkles.

Dinner will come later. "At some point (in the near future) we'll be serving fried chicken from 6pm," Rashid says.

All Day Donuts, 12 Edward Street, Brunswick, 8060 6664.
