One of Brisbane's favourite bars has expanded. Lefty's in Caxton Street has added a bottle shop and micro bar, carved out of the former storeroom on the ground floor.

Owners Jamie Webb and Jason Scott have continued the wild west theme of Lefty's with the tongue-in-cheek Liquor Store & Prairie Supplies.

"It's just a fun little project," Webbs says. "[It's] the last stage of development of the site. We're selling boutique bourbon and craft beer and there's a couple of tables out the front for early evening dining. Lefty's is nuts on a Saturday night, so it's great to have this place, where you can actually sit and have a conversation."

As well as the bottle shop, Liquor Store & Prairie Supplies has a bar list, and food can be ordered from the main bar menu. The pair have also been doing a brisk trade in "prairie supplies", in this case in cowboy hats and shirts, perfect for Caxton Street cowpokes.

"They were really just meant for display but people kept wanting to buy them," Webb says.

Liquor Store & Prairie Supplies is at 15 Caxton Street in Petrie Terrace and is open Friday-Sunday 12pm-10pm.
