Former Balzac chef Matt Kemp wants to put Manly's Q Station and its Boilerhouse restaurant on the food map. The veteran chef is leaving his current position at Charing Cross Hotel in Sydney's east.
"I had an ambassador position with Q Station, but now I'll be executive chef over there, I want to make it really produce-driven. I know people say that all the time but I'm exhausted by food with too many ingredients," he says. Kemp will retain a consultancy role with the Charing Cross.
