Byron Woolfrey cites ''creative differences'' for his exit from Chez Dee, a shining light on the Kings Cross food scene since it opened on Kellett Street this year.

Woolfrey, ex-Merivale and Tetsuya's, says he's forfeited his share in the cafe-grocer-bar to business partner Denise Fisher.

''I'm looking at doing a pop-up in the area,'' he says.
