There's been little movement at city diner The Resident following its sudden closure last year after just five months' trading. The luxe Hyde Park restaurant is finally getting its promised reboot, with owners the Lotus Group shifting to more familiar Asian turf.

The word on College Street is it'll be renamed Madame Shanghai and serve yum cha and grilled street food dishes including chicken with pineapple sambal and pork belly with shiso and kimchi. A cocktail bar will also feature. Expect a late April opening.
