After closing for just over two weeks, Ona Manuka has reopened with a brighter and leafier look and a new menu. And while they're still located 'on the lawns', they've dropped that bit from their name, now going simply by Ona Manuka.

The long-standing Manuka cafe now has lighter walls and floors, with new furnishings and a more open kitchen. There's a heavy dose of greenery hanging scattered around, and matching menus that take their cues from on-trend green leaf prints.

There are a few special touches in the new design, like a volcano mural on one wall by the cafe's barista Tom Riethmuller, which is created entirely by dots.

The all-day menu has been given a bit of a facelift – new additions include a chicken quinoa tabbouleh, and zucchini and cauliflower salad, whereas popular items like the Ona Roll and jalapeno and potato fritters have been left on there.

The coffee menu has been changed up too – there's now four separate Ona roasts available, three for milk coffees and one for black, plus two filter coffees. And gone are lattes, flat whites and cappuccinos – milk coffees now come all the same.
