Ever wonder what would happen if Nutella fell in love with a Malteser? Well, the guys at Piccolo Me just found out. And it's beautiful. In a hot and cold fusion, this delicious beast is made with Piccolo Me's secret Nutella ice-cream recipe, fried, dipped in salted caramel sauce and topped with crushed Maltesers. It's about the size of a grapefruit, so you might want to bring a few friends.

"I wouldn't recommend it for one person," says Roy El Hachem, one of the co-founders of Piccolo Me. "It's more of a sharing serve."

Hachem says he created a smaller sized prototype about a year ago. "It didn't catch enough attention. Then I thought, you know what, let's push the boundaries a bit. Let's go wild. Tested this big one out and it was a winner."

Hachem claims that it is the biggest Nutella fried ice-cream in the world. "I've been researching it all night, and I haven't found anything bigger than that, I spent hours researching! So I'm claiming that title."

The smaller version is available at all Piccolo Me locations, but because of the logistics of frying a grapefruit-sized ball of ice cream, they are still working out which stores will be able to handle this monster.

Piccolo Me has locations in Sydney CBD, Macquarie Uni, Baulkham Hills, West Pennant Hills, Crows Nest and University of Western Sydney, piccolome.com
