Chef Andy Harmer, executive chef at the Point and previously Vue de Monde is leaving the Albert Park restaurant to take over the kitchen at QT. Pascale Bar and Grill has already streamlined its broad opening menu (the camel milk desserts have gone), but will see another shakeup when Harmer starts in October.
Chef Suzi Fitzpatrick, who has worked at Lake House and Ballarat's Catfish Thai, and fiance Dean Bray, who used to be head small goods maker for Istra, have just opened Nouvelle Cuisine, a New Orleans restaurant and bar in Ballarat doing creole plates, charcuterie, live music and cocktails. nouvelleorleans.com.au
