It might be early days, but 2017 is shaping up as another bumper year for gun Sydney food postcode 2018. Rosebery's climb from culinary wasteland to edible hotspot has been swift, and now Good Food can reveal the crew behind Riley Street Garage and Surly's is joining the party.

Restaurateur Brody Petersen will open a 250-300-seater in Rosebery later in 2017.

"We've signed a lease on a warehouse space above Zeus, it used to be an old cyclone fencing factory. Obviously it [the deal] is subject to approvals, but the plans are exciting. It has a giant balcony and we have Alexander & Co working on the fitout," Petersen says.

With the Three Blue Ducks team in residence at the former site of Kitchen by Mike, and additional start-ups including Da Mario and distillery Archie Rose, Rosebery has plenty of added hospitality lustre.

"We've actually been looking there for at least a year. We were trying to scoop up the old Kitchen by Mike site but it didn't work out," Petersen adds.
