The Made Establishment's new off-Smith Street souvlaki bar will be the first of at least three, George Sykiotis tells Espresso. Jimmy Grants (it's rhyming slang for ''immigrants'') opened late last week and will be followed by other Jimmys in Ormond and the city over the next few months, Sykiotis says.

George Calombaris and co's newest Fitzroy eatery is a chip off the block occupied by Gazi, their souva-loving rework of the Press Club. Sykiotis says the new immigrant is all about souvlakis, salads and meats turning on the custom-built rotisserie in the open kitchen. "We're aiming for a business that's somewhere in between the takeaway and cafe culture," he says. You can dine in - there's a no-bookings policy - or take away souvlakis or meats and salads to put together at home. The group also has Brunswick's Hellenic Republic, Mama Baba in South Yarra and PM24 in the city.

Find Jimmy Grants at 113 Saint David Street, Fitzroy.
