Sydney has a history of unusual items on its menus, but at least camel meatloaf and pig's ear schnitzel are edible. When The Grounds of Alexandria finishes its renovations later this year, customers will be able to order a dog wash with their macchiato.

Human grooming is seemingly also hot, with haircuts available down at Coogee Pavilion, the newly opened venue from the Merivale Group. A $78 haircut is also on the menu at the just-opened Rose Bay Diner.

"It's actually a bit of a joke," says owner Ben Sweeten. "The reason it's $78 was to deter people from ordering it. However, if somebody did actually want one, and was willing to pay for it, I'd do it," he adds.
