The partners behind North Melbourne's The Crimean have parted company.

Restaurateurs Frank Moylan and Melissa Macfarlane remain in charge of the eatery they opened with sommelier Lazlo Evenhuis in June 2011.

Evenhuis described the split as ''amicable''. He is joining Rosa Mitchell's new restaurant as assistant front of house and beverage manager.

Rosa's Kitchen is due to open on March 5, with Mitchell in partnership with MoVida's Peter Bartholomew and David Mackintosh.
