From the stripped interior of a former wallpaper shop in Collaroy on Sydney's northern beaches, Annalisa Ferrari has opened a food store, restaurant and cooking school.
If that isn't enough to stretch the time-poor Italian-raised Ferrari, she has added baker to her CV.
"I really missed schiacciata (the artisanal Tuscan flat bread), so I've started baking it.
"We sell it from the shop out front, with some other food products. We have schiacciata (back home in Florence) in the morning with our coffee, for lunch at school, on the beach, in the snow, for aperitivo and in every bread basket," she says.
Ferrari has kicked off Sunday lunches ($85 a person/children $40) at the newly opened A Ferrari Kitchen. This week she's also adding a trattoria-style dinner menu Wednesday to Saturday (5.30pm-9pm).
Open Wed-Fri 11.30am-9pm, Sat 8am-9pm, Sun 8am-6pm
