The Pasadena Hotel set to wow Sydney's north shore this summer

A long-shuttered waterfront hospitality jewel of Sydney's north will reopen on Saturday just in time for the summer crowds.

The Pasadena has seemingly spent more time in court than in menu development.

The Church Point venue has been mired in controversy and a raft of concerns from local residents and delays that eventually saw restaurateur Paul Schulte​ jettison his involvement in the project.

But Pasadena owner Paul Peterkin has ploughed on and there's a seasoned crew set to run its restaurant.

"Ross Howell is the new chef and his wife Helen Johnson is the GM," a Pasadena spokeswoman tells Good Food.

The duo has worked at a number of venues, including Queensland's Plantation Bar & Restaurant.
