Three foodie events not to miss this weekend at Canberra Good Food Month

The Canberra Times Good Food Month shifts into high gear this weekend with three huge events. Tickets are on sale now.

- LANEWAY! STREETFOOD! PARTY!

It's not quite Melbourne, but Civic still boasts a few laneways. On Friday night, Bible Lane will come to life with live music, street food and icy cold beer and cider. Texan meat master Wes Griffiths from Bovine and Swine will cook up his authentic barbecue, and in case you didn't get your fix at Enlighten Night Noodle Markets, Chur Burger are back with their Notorious P.I.G crispy pork belly burger. There's also Vietnamese spring rolls from locals What the Pho, plus there's live street art from Canberra's Dai Cameron.

Friday March 24, 5pm - late. Tickets $50 - which includes food, four beer or ciders, and live music - from goodfoodmonth.com. This event is 18+.

- MONSTER MASH VOLUME II

Pals Sean McConnell (Monster) and Matt Wilkinson (Melbourne's Pope Joan) will join forces to cook up a shared lunch at Monster, with a collaborative menu of some of Matt's favourite dishes (grilled calamari and Banofee pie) alongside a few of Sean's Monster crowd pleasers, including the famous yabbie jaffle.
