What's on: Melbourne food events in November

The Age Good Food Month is in full swing. From the excitement of the inaugural Night Noodle Markets on the Yarra (beginning November 18th) to an all-star cast of world-class chefs, Good Food Month celebrates everything from street-style food to hatted restaurants to bars, pubs and producers. Events include Let's Do Lunch, Hats Off Dinners, Pop-ups, one-off set breakfast menus at top Melbourne cafes and much more. Day of the Dead

Celebrate Mexico's tradition with a five-day "festival" at Acland St Cantina. Enjoy $5 Day of the Dead street eats, $5 Pacifico and Corona beers, a $45 four-course dinner, a $20 lunch feast and Mezcal tasting paddles. On the weekend, Mr Mexico will host a free Mezcal Masterclass, starting at 4pm.

Pop-up craft bar

The Balvenie teams up with different craftspeople to display their wares. Enjoy the different ages and variants of the iconic Balvenie whisky while craftspeople: Kris and Tim Torma (bar-maker and stonemasons), Cinnamon Lee (metal smith), Tim Kill (luthier), Ruth Allen (glass blower), Nick Haddow (cheesemaker) and Brad Nicholls (designer) all showcase their work.

Dinner in the dark

Design studio e2 Melbourne are joining with The Light Foundation to raise money and awareness on the global issue of energy poverty. Paris to Provence French Festival

The gardens of Como House features 70 French retailers and producers showcasing Melbourne's finest French inspired food, wine, fashion, books, music, children's clothing and toys, classes and home decor. Coffee connoisseurs will be warmed by the aromas in this sit-down cafe. For families, the children's courtyard allows "les petits" to transform into little Picassos, painting on scattered easels.
