Where to eat your way into Chinese New Year 2017 in Canberra

January 28, 2017 will mark Chinese New Year and the arrival of the year of the rooster. Here's where to eat your way into the new year in Canberra:

- XO in Narrabundah is again hosting their own celebration, with a special Chinese New Year menu for two weeks, alongside their regular a la carte menu.

The eight course shared menu is $88 per head, playing on the number eight which brings luck and wealth in the Chinese culture.

It includes a range of traditional dishes mixed with XO's own cheeky twist and creative flavour pairings. There's yee sang salad, dumplings, noodles, and sweet and sour prawns, with courses signifying love, money, prosperity and longevity.

And make sure to save room for the utterly delicious black sesame cake with a yuzu curd and ginger ice cream for dessert.
