Young chef of the year award shortlist announced

The best in the business have named them the best in their business. Five young chefs have made the shortlist for The Age Good Food Guide 2015 Young Chef of the Year award.

They are Joshua Pelham (Estelle), Vanessa Mateus (Pope Joan), Thomas Woods (Woodland House), Timothy Martin (European) and Daniele Tarasco (No.8 by John Lawson).

Judges Alla Wolf-Tasker, Andrew McConnell and Philippe Mouchel will reveal the winner at the Guide's launch on August 25.
