Freestyle Espresso

Contemporary

Freestyle is one of those warm little cafes where the owner is in the kitchen freestylin’ with the lunch menu. It changes daily and dishes are stocked in a glass display case: maybe bolognese pie with a flaky, buttery crust; or pumpkin and haloumi fritters with a side of pear and walnut coleslaw. There’s also a small choice of sandwiches, tarts and pastries. A short brunchy menu includes bircher with passionfruit curd, and a super-cheesy and big-enough-for-two Welsh rarebit. Cool, calm and eclectic, this friendly laneway cafe is great for a solo pitstop at the communal table or long courtyard lunches with pals.
