The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food U$30 guide 2014.
It made perfect sense in a year when it seemed no Sydneysider was content unless they had a burger in hand or a bowl of ramen to slurp from. Yep, we're talking 'ramen burger'. A quirky hit at the latest Good Food Month Night Noodle Markets, it was something of a Frankenstein fusion of our two most consuming obsessions of the past year.
The burger and ramen rushes have been unstoppable, the fascination fuelled by Sydney's top chefs getting in on the act, with burgers by Warren Turnbull (Churburger), Justin North (The Burger Shed) and Sean Connolly (Parlour Burgers), and ramen by Haru Inukai (Ramen Ikkyu).
Needless to say, a raft of new burger and ramen joints feature in this year's Good Food Under $30, alongside some 80 cuisines from around the world – all ready for exploring right here in Sydney.
Enjoy! And please keep us posted on your eating adventures. We're all ears (and mouths).
