Like the lamb shank, barley and vegetable soup. This will take a few hours to cook, but you'll have a hearty soup to take to work during the week.

The midweek meals can all be on the table in half an hour. There's a quick fish curry spiced with curry leaves, turmeric and ground coriander. Plus a roast that uses chicken thighs so it'll be on the table quicker.

We haven't forgotten the sweet tooths either. Apples are in season and star in two recipes in this planner - bake them in a dessert or grate them into a Lumberjack cake.
