Burnt brussels sprout salad
Ingredients:
8 brussels sprouts, halved
6 large kale leaves, chopped
1 red onion, quartered and halved again
2 cloves of garlic, sliced
½ tsp of salt
half a chipotle mortia chilli, chopped
juice of half a lemon
3 tbsp Handsome Devils Co Verde hot sauce
Method
Heat a frying pan to medium high. Place the sprouts cut side down in the hot pan. Let them burn.
Once three-quarters of the cut side of the brussels sprouts is burnt, add the onions, coconut oil and garlic. Stir. Lower the heat and cook for five minutes.
Add the kale, lemon juice, salt and the chipotle chilli. Stir, cover and cook for another five minutes.
Take the sprouts off the heat, add the hot sauce, stir through and serve.
