My figs with strawberries and balsamic vinegar

Ingredients

  • 12 figs.

  • 2 punnets strawberries.

  • Caster sugar.

  • Aged balsamic vinegar.

  • Semi-whipped cream.

  • Chopped mint leaves.

Method

  1. Cut the figs in half, roll them in sugar, sprinkle with balsamic and cook on a hot grill until they colour and soften slightly. Place them in a bowl. Repeat the process with the strawberries.

    Serve the combined figs and strawberries with a dollop of cream. Sprinkle with mint and drizzle with a little more balsamic.
