- 6 cups water
- 7 green cardamom pods, crushed
- 6 strands saffron
- 3 tsp honey
- 8 tsp English breakfast or Earl Grey
- 2 tbsp raw almonds, slivered
Bring the water to a boil and add the cardamom, saffron and honey. Simmer for 7 minutes. Turn off, add tea, cover and allow to steep to desired strength.
Strain and top with slivered almonds.
If you like, top up with warm milk.
