2009 Kaesler Old Vine Shiraz
Kaesler's old vine Barossa reds aren't as formidable as they once were. This has jammy currants, blackberries, plums, and sweet and savoury spice on the nose - tradition at its best. A velvety palate is chocolatey-rich with ripe tannins. (Cork; 14.5 per cent alcohol.)
Ageing? Drink over 12 years.
Food ideas Roast beef.
