THE Murray Street label normally adorns hefty Barossa Valley reds but this wine shows the region's unsung hero, semillon, in a great light. It's a fresh, modern take on the regional style with lemon, grapefruit and waxy aromas, a vibrant palate full of pure varietal flavour, tangy acidity and a lingering finish. Should age well, too. (Screw cap; 11.5 per cent alcohol.) Ageing? Drink over six years. Food ideas Salt and pepper squid; fried whiting and chips.
