2011 David Hook Reserve de Novo Rosso
This blend of barbera, nebbiolo and sangiovese has a raw cherry and banana ester aroma, while the palate has weight and length, a sweet-fruit middle and a firm, tight tannin that adds structure. It's long in the mouth, quite delicious, and should age well. Now to 2024. 13 per cent alcohol.
Food: Braised meats.
