From a Barossa vineyard first planted in 1915, this has lovely intensity without being too big. It smells of berry jam, glace cherries and undergrowth, while spice and meaty notes give complexity. The palate has texture, depth and easy tannins. (Screw cap; 14.5 per cent alcohol.)
Ageing? Drink over 10 years.
