2012 Montevecchio Rosato
A fascinating pink wine made from the obscure lagrein grape grown at Heathcote, it is fragrant, complex and intense, with a riot of aromas reminiscent of berries, florals and spicy fruit mince. There's real depth of flavour. (Screw cap; 11.5 per cent alcohol.)
Food: Tagliatelle with chicken livers; Turkish pide with spicy sausage.
