Not a fan of Guinness? That's OK. There are other ways to get your Irish on this St Patrick's Day.
Here are some recipes for whiskey cocktails from Jack and Stephen Teeling, the brothers behind a new Dublin distillery whose boutique whiskey range is now available in Australia.
40ml Teeling Small Batch whiskey
20ml Maraschino liquor
Ice
20ml sugar syrup
20ml egg white (1 egg white)
Fire!
1. Pour the whiskey, maraschino liquor, sugar syrup and egg white into a shaker. Shake without ice to emulsify the ingredients then shake again with ice.
2. Strain into a chilled coupe glass then using a lighter, brulee the egg white over the cocktail.
3. Serve chilled in a glass of your choice.
60ml Teeling Small Batch Whiskey
40ml strawberry balsamic syrup
Ice
Fresh Mint
1. In a shaker, place a handful of fresh mint leaves, followed by the whiskey, then strawberry balsamic syrup.
2. Give it a muddle and add one scoop of ice. Swirl the ingredients until fully mixed then top up with ice.
3. Garnish with fresh mint and strawberries. Serve in the metal shaker.
