The gateway to the Yarra Valley, Yarra Glen is just an hour north-east of Melbourne. Go to the races, check out the old fashioned trains of the Yarra Valley Tourist Railway or just relax with a drink and a feed at the 1888 stucco Grand Hotel and plan your trip around the Valley.

Yarra Glen and the Dandenong Ranges are a gourmet delight and you can fill your larder and wine cellar at the various farm gates and wineries. Take the Yarra Valley Regional Food Trail or head straight to Yarra Valley Dairy for handmade cheeses and the nineteenth century Gulf Station working farm and heritage homestead.
