Doubts over Le Tres Bon

Le Tres Bon in Bungendore faces an uncertain future after the historic building that houses the French restaurant in the town’s main street was sold to a developer. It is understood the plan is to turn the section and neighbouring land into a supermarket, but it is unclear whether the restaurant building itself can be left standing. The building is more than 100 years old, built in 1898, originally as two houses. Josephine and Christophe Gregoire did not want to comment on the building sale while the situation is still uncertain, but confirm they plan to stay open and continue running the popular country-style restaurant. Meantime, the eatery will close from September 15 to October 15 while they visit Christophe Gregoire’s home region, Alsace, where the couple hosts a dozen people on a food and wine tour.
