Father’s Day lunch

Ox Eatery, reviewed by Bryan Martin this week, seems well-suited for a Father’s Day celebration, given the focus on meat from the rotisserie and whisky from a long list. On Father’s Day, September 1, the Kingston restaurant, in the East Hotel in Canberra Avenue, offers a lunch of warm olives with bread and grilled haloumi, lamb with pea puree, and pork with crackling from the rotisserie; carrots and roast potatoes; and salted caramel and chocolate truffles to finish. Ox offers flights of whisky also for $15. $60, or $30 for children under 12. Live acoustic music 3pm-9pm.
