Matt Moran and Peter Sullivan to open Chiswick at gallery

Woollahra’s Chiswick restaurant is set to spawn an off-shoot this spring. Matt Moran and Peter Sullivan are opening Chiswick at the Gallery the week of October 20 as part of their new catering contract at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Moran says some of the Woollahra signature dishes will make the journey to the gallery, ‘‘but it [the menu] will be different as we move forward’’. The gallery restaurant closed on Sunday and designers are set to recraft the space with a Chiswick-like makeover with more ‘‘Scandi style’’ and less of the Chiswick’s original ‘‘farmhouse chic’’. Talks are also taking place with gallery management over a potential kitchen garden at the site.
